SCOPE OF PRACTICE
Clinical Nutrition
Many medical conditions can be treated effectively with nutritional interventions, with fewer complications and side effects.
Hormonal Medicine
Offering specialized approach to thyroid and other hormonal imbalances. Dr. Schwaiger uses bioidenical estrogen, progesterone and testosterone in his therapy.
Botanical Medicine
Many plant substances are powerful medicines. Botanical medicines are compatible with the body's own chemistry; hence, they can be effective with few toxic side effects.
Homeopathic Medicine
Homeopathic medicine is based on the principle of "like cures like." It works on a subtle yet powerful level, gently acting to strengthen the body's healing and immune response.
Physical Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine has its own methods of therapeutic manipulation of muscles, bones, and spine. NMDs also use ultrasound, electroacupuncture, exercise, massage, heat and cold, and trigger point therapy.
Oriental Medicine
Oriental medicine is a complimentary healing philosophy to naturopathic medicine. Acupuncture provides a method of treatment that can harmonize the imbalances present in disease conditions, which, if untreated, can result in illness.
Prolotherapy and Injection Therapy
Injection of solution into weak ligaments or tendons can greatly reduce pain and strengthen areas to improve endurance and return function. Excellent results can be obtained with this therapy, especially with low back problems.
Psychological Medicine
Mental attitudes and emotional states may influence, or even cause, physical illness. Counseling, nutritional balancing, stress management, and are used to help patients heal on the psychological level. |
