Dr. Schwaiger is a licensed Naturopathic physician in the State of Arizona. The majority of laboratory and imaging tests ordered by Dr. Schwaiger are covered under most insurance plans (exception is Medicare). Naturopathic Physicians are trained in the use of conventional laboratory analysis and imaging techniques, as well as in the use of pharmaceuticals.
Prolotherapy
Prolotherapy is the treatment of soft-tissue damage using injections of dextrose, lidocaine and normal saline solution. The term prolotherapy is derived from the word prolo, short for proliferation. The therapy is intended to proliferate tissue growth in the damaged area. This therapy fits well with one of the basic principles of naturopathic medicine: “the healing power of nature”.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
PRP functions as a tissue sealant and drug delivery system with the platelets initiating wound repair by releasing locally acting growth factors.
